Homeopathic Consultations

The first consultation takes on average 1 hour and includes an in-depth analysis of your symptoms and your medical history.

This involves questions about your lifestyle, work, leisure and family life. All this is essential as the treatment aims at finding a homeopathic prescription ideally suited to you, rather than your illness. All consultations are strictly confidential.

Most patients need at least three visits to get significantly better. I will offer you two more appointments at the first visit. This requires a small deposit, £5 per appointment. Payment on the day of the appointment in cash or by cheque please.

Second appointments are more brief, approximately 35-45 minutes. These appointments are very important as they review your progress. Your prescription is usually included in the fee or call Helios Pharmacy, Tel. 01892 537254

Telephone Advice

In between appointments you may want some advice or reassurance about the treatment. This additional support is included in the fee. Best times to contact me by telephone is Mon/Wed/Friday mornings 10-11am. E-mails are very welcome on contact me via e-mail

Reflexology

I also offer reflexology and reflex plus.

Reflexology takes approximately 1 hour and includes gentle cleansing of the feet, health assessment, therapeutic treatment, moisturising and foot massage. You will step into your shoes totally relaxed and refreshed!!

Reflex-plus includes all the above benefits, plus it lets the feet do the talking while I prescribe a homeopathic remedy. The condition of your feet will give me some conclusive evidence as to what prescription you will need.

This is a highly effective treatment which shortcuts the verbal interview and receives its clues from physical observation.

WHAT IS HOMEOPATHY?

Homeopathy aims at strengthening the body's natural defence system, thus helping the body to rebalance itself.

Homeopathy treats the whole person and not the disease. It corrects the tendency to particular illnesses and individual physical weaknesses. This holistic approach is central to cure and to prevent reappearance of the illness.

Minute doses of natural substances are used to activate the self-healing potential of the body. The "Magic of the Minimal Dose" seems paradoxical, yet tiny amounts of an active substance have been found to cause considerable molecular changes in controlled trials.

Homeopathy is a safe and efficient way to successfully treat a variety of illnesses without the damaging side effects of conventional drugs.

What can you treat?

Most illnesses can be helped, here's a selection.

I successfully treat SKIN PROBLEMS (also in children), for example eczema and psoriasis. I also treat JOINT PROBLEMS and DIGESTIVE DISORDERS.

FEMALE COMPLAINTS are of special interest to me and I have helped many female patients. This includes PMT, period and menopausal problems and support for fertility treatment. Ante-natal appointments include help with morning sickness and remedies facilitating labour and preventing mums-to-be from being induced.

I test and treat ALLERGIES (kinesiology testing), which is important in hay fever, asthma, IBS and certain skin conditions.

STRESS RELATED PROBLEMS, including DEPRESSION, respond well to homeopathy, often in conjunction with other forms of treatment. Also emotional trauma resulting from bereavement, divorce etc, benefit tremendously from homeopathic prescribing.

I really enjoy treating children and CHILDREN'S ILLNESSES. (Please ask for my special children's leaflet.)

Glue ear, recurrent infections including tonsillitis and sinus problems are easily treatable without the use of antibiotics. Infantile eczema can be helped. I welcome children with behaviour problems (ADHD for example) where homeopathy often is the best experience the family ever had.

I am a registered homeopath and qualified reflexologist.

I qualified in 1994 after 5 years of training and became a registered homeopath in 1996. This accounts for my many years' experience and success rates. I qualified as a professional reflexologist in June 2006.

I am registered and insured with the ASSOCIATION OF NATURAL MEDICINE and I work to their Code of Ethics and professional standards. I undertake regular professional training.

I am also qualified in Australian Flower Essences and often use Bach Flowers and Herbal Essences in my prescribing.
