Saffron Walden.net, established in 2006 (and transformed mid 2007), is a completely FREE service to readers (those in and around Saffron Walden), and allows businesses, clubs and charities to be able to add their details on to the website for FREE.

And by numerous local contributors (although more are very welcome) helping to keep the web pages of the site up to date, we hope to maintain a central record of events, to work in conjunction with other media (such as the Saffron Walden Reporter, The Walden Local, The Saffron Walden Weekly News, as well as the websites of the organisers etc.) 
 

And in case you’re wondering how we make our own 'living'...

.... with the exception of a few pence from Google, various affiliate links (where appropriate within articles), and some money for displaying advertisments (a small amount from any Saffron Walden companies wishing to make themselves more prominent on our website) - which goes towards site administration and marketing activities etc., the site currently produces no other income of its own.

The site was originally developed by Temasi as a showcase site, and due to public demand, has since grown into a valuable community site.

By article contributions, by members of the local community, and by sponsorship from Temasi, who continue to use this website to demonstrate their web site skills, Saffron Walden.net offers readers a virtually ad-free community oriented website site.

So it's good news all round.
