Firstly, log in using the login form on the left of the page.

Visit the Calendar by clicking on either the event menu, or the month of the events calendar displayed

Verify that the event has not already been added. (If it has, you will have to contact us with a change of details. Please do so by email from the website)

At the bottom of the calendar, and under the menu on the left, a link exists called Add an event

Clicking on this reveals a menu from which details of an event can be entered. Please specify the category, and title on this page. If you know the location, contact, and a website of where to find out more information, please insert it into the description.

After saving (pressing the floppy disc icon image), the event will be saved, but will not be displayed until approved by an administrator. Once it is approved, it will be inserted into the appropriate calendar.

In order to better understand the calendar, we have created a quick breakdown on what each category should contain:

These categories have been specially created, and events are entered based on the following criteria: Local Events: Any event happening locally that is not specifically family friendly. This can be anything from a civil war re-enactment to a farmers market. Families and Kids - These are events which are specified to be family friendly, and have some attraction to the younger audience. Fundraising - This is either a target date, an target update or details of the sponsored activity to raise, or as a product of raising, the required money. Business Promotions - Special sales, or events by companies. This can be anything from a shop opening, a promotional discount, or even a season start and end date. Other - Any other event, not specifically within Saffron Walden, such as a national or international event.
